I would love to know how you go about choosing gear, (amps, guitars, pedals, cables, strings), just to get another opinion and just have a better understanding about what processes people go through before selecting their gear.

Ive been watching reviews about cheaper guitar options from all over. Im looking at budget options and the used sites are showing some decent options.
Not sure if i want to go with a higher level used, or a beginner model new. Think im leaning higher level used so that it will probably have the bugs worked out and have been set up already. I hope.
Don't look at price as what determines your purchase. I've bought a lot of expensive gear that couldn't outshine cheaper products. I prefer my orange Brent Hinds head over my 5150 el34 that costs 3 times the price. Tonal clarity, analog, construction quality are things I look for
