Let’s learn how to hold your guitar properly. You want to be sitting comfortably in an armless chair with your seat back straight up and down, ensuring your back is straight. If you’re not sitting in a chair or the chair you’re using doesn’t have a seat back, that’s totally fine — just make sure you’re sitting or standing up straight. They key is to avoid slouching, because that can hurt your body and also negatively affect your guitar playing by causing you to develop some bad habits, which we definitely don’t want!
