Hi. Just wondering if there was a practice routine or schedule that could help me stay on track with all the information available. There’s a lot to digest here and it’s hard to stay focused. A weekly rundown or progress checklist would be helpful I think. I’m aware that everyone learns at their own pace but maybe some general guidelines to help commit the lessons to memory.
Same! Everything is very well organized and the content rocks, but as a naturally easy-to-distract person I would get the most out of all of it if there was a suggested path or a recommendation for the time I might want to spend on each lesson.
I liked the way everything was organized a couple years ago, where there was a guided curriculum. Why did everything change? Every time I click on a video I don't know if it's going to be something that's too much for me to digest or something I've already learned before. I feel like I've wasted a lot of time trying to find the right video. If this doesn't change, I'm sorry, but I'm probably going to have to unsubscribe...
The guided curriculums are now just ordered in groups of content called "Music Theory Basics", "Music Theory 1", and "Music Theory 2". Those are the original curriculums plus updated and additional videos.
Right. The information is great. I just have no direction on how to use what I have watched, or how to apply it to my playing, or what I can do to commit it to long term memory.
I'm thinking the same thing. I'm self taught and would really like a roadmap through the lessons to fill in the gaps and to build a solid foundation.
I'm a beginner and one of the first things I did after purchasing a new guitar was come here to build on what I've learned through other platforms. I have to say the way things are set up here I feel like everything is jumbled up. There is no clear path to instruction. Maybe I'm missing something here but while music theory is important where is the section dedicated to learning the keyboard? I'm stuck in the cowboy cords here and while picking and strumming are valuable lessons shouldn't there be lessons on forming keys in the beginners corner? But then maybe I'm missing it here?
Start with Music Theory basics or Music Theory 1, that is guided content.
I would say just go to music theory basics and go through the videos in order
Is there a section with downloadable tabs for scales that are in the music theory sections?
